Seabiscuit is one of the most memorable Thouroughbreds in history.
In America,this horse is looked like an american legend.
He started his racing career on the lower claiming ranks.
He became one of the greatest legends because he raised up at the time when sports needed
it the most.
After he won the race of Saratoga, he was claimed by Charles and marcella Howard.then he was trained y a new
man,Tom Smith, an old western cowboy.
Smith trained his colt to break off in a hurry, first by fashioning a starting bell to accustom him with the
noise, and then by running him with top sprinters. Seabiscuit learned to give everything he had into speeding
away at the start of the race.And he gave.Seabiscuit claimed Horse of the Year honors.
At 7 years of age, Seabiscuit was more than twice the age of some of his rivals. But his team of Howard,
Smith, and Pollard believed him to be capable. And Sea Biscuit demonstrated that wasn't vainly.He showed to pollard, Smith and the entire world that he was capable,
capable to give everything he had..to give his best.
In six years of racing, he had competed 89 times,
winning 33 of these matches, finishing on the board 61 times.
As regards his pedigree,HARD TACK was the sire of Seabiscuit. He was owned by Mrs. Ogden Phipps.
He won a couple of Major Stakes, but was seted down as unsafe.
MAN O'WAR, the grandsire of Seabiscuit was one of the greatest horses to ever set foot on a racetrack.
He set records and blew away his competition.
Seabiscuit's total earnings is $437,740.
He was a hardy little horse that was given a chance, and he proved himself time and time again.

Bestseller has been adapted into a Film.
The subject of the film was about a horse trainer Shawn O'Hara and his lovely niece, Margaret, come to America
to escape the memory of an accident involving Margaret's brother.
The movie's director is David Butler,born on 17 December 1894, San Francisco, California,
the writer is John Taintor Foote who also wrote The Mark of Zorro and The Great Dan Patch.
The realease date was 12th of November,1849.
The movie will star TOBY MCGUIRE as the jockey Red Pollard, CHris Cooper. as trainer Tom Smith and
JEFF BRIDGES as owner, Charles Howard. The movie will revisit Seabiscuits racing days and the bringing
together of three unlikely people to bring America to their feet.
Having won $437,730 in purse money, he was worth his weight in gold to the Howards, who had purchased
him for a mere $7,500. it was time to retire. Seabisciut was going home to Ridgewood Ranch. On May 17th,
1947, the great and mighty champion suffered a heart attack at only 14 years of age. He was buried on a
secret site on the ranch, with only an young oak to mark its location.
